  • Support and enhancement of distributed airfield lighting control systems in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East (Windows NT, Microsoft SQL Server, TCP/IP, sockets, Visual C++).
  • Support and enhancement of a distributed train system tracking and management application for a regional transit authority (VAX VMS, Oracle Rdb, SCO UNIX, Ingres, TCP/IP, X/Windows, C, C++).
  • Development of a computer-aided engineering package for industrial agitation systems (Windows 9x/NT, Visual Basic 6.0, Visual C++, Microsoft Access).
  • Development and test of a prototype demonstrating the feasibility of shallow linguistic analysis in certain full-text retrieval scenarios (UNIX, perl, C, C++).
  • Internal web-site development and development of full e-commerce solutions for local clients (Microsoft FrontPage, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, ASP, Java, VBScript).

he ideal entry-level candidate should possess a GPA of at least 3.5, have had courses in networking, databases, and concurrent software design, and be able to demonstrate a modest level of competence in the use of C++. Entry-level candidates should submit a résumé and, if necessary, additional documentation describing in detail the projects on which they have worked, including their use of the relevant technologies and a self-assessment (on a scale of 1=beginner to 5=expert) of competence with each.


U.S. citizenship or a permanent work visa is required, and all candidates should be able to travel up to eight weeks per year (no more than two consecutive weeks per trip).
